For the optimal development of the VI CLA, everyone is asked to comply with the following code of conduct during the congress:
Authorship: All authors connected to a presentation and/or abstract must agree on all information contained in the presentation. An author who submits a presentation to the conference must have intentions of attending, registering, and presenting at the meeting if the submission is accepted into the program.
General guidelines for attendees:
• Always use an appropriate and respectful vocabulary with the interlocutor.
• Turn off microphones and cameras throughout the presentations. The only people allowed to speak are the hosts, moderators, and presenters. Participants are allowed to speak during the allotted question time, at the end of each presentation.
• Respect the request of those who express their disagreement on being photographed, filmed, named or quoted.
• The chat of the presentation platform (Zoom) must be used respectfully. Interactions through this chat must be kept to a minimum to facilitate the management of questions and the organization of each session.
Recordings and Social Media: we support the communication and discussion of science in all formats. Information, including original data, slides, or other visual representations, may be summarized and discussed by attendees and science writers via blogs and other social media formats. However, we ask that this be done respectfully and that permission be obtained from the presenter before reproducing any visual materials.
Harassment and Safety: We strive to provide a safe, hospitable, and productive environment for everyone attending the events, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, or sexual orientation. A community where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is neither healthy nor productive. Accordingly, we prohibit intimidating, threatening, or harassing conduct during the congress. If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the meeting host who can take appropriate measures to ensure that the behavior desists. Reports of inappropriate behavior can remain anonymous if so requested.
Those who do not comply with this code will be warned by the organizing committee of the VI CLA. Depending on the severity or persistence of the indicated abusive behavior, they may be expelled from the virtual common spaces temporarily or permanently, as determined by the meeting organizers. If expulsion is deemed necessary, the offender will not be entitled to reimbursements or refunds for costs incurred at the conference.
